Journalist, MBA, seeking research to do

Hi all,

I'm Alex. I am wrapping an MBA from UC-Irvine this fall (just walked a few Saturdays ago -- have two classes left.)

I am pivoting into the world of competitive intelligence. I was a journalist (Bachelor's in Journalism/History from U-Missouri Columbia) and a screenwriter (MFA, all-but-thesis from UT-Austin.) I've done quite a bit and the central theme, for me, is a love the research. A love of following questions and either proving or disproving or changing theses as you go... I love the way research evolves thinking and eventually ends up with something actionable. Some kind of usable guidance. That entire process is just fun for me.

I can get excited about anything.
